Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.

Well i think one of the best teachers of mine was when i was in third grade, and her name was mrs. Lee. She was my favorite because shed always understand my needs and help and we were good buds. There can be many different personalities in people and sometimes they dont all get along with others. But that also can be when two different people can be so close. Like for instance me and my bff, we had very different personalities and faught alot about things but we were so close too because we got to get use to the fact that we were different!

The world is ending. There are natural disasters happening everywhere. You know that soon you will be stranded in your house with only the food left in your cupboards. You make a mad dash to the grocery store but everyone there is in such chaos that you know you'll only have time to grab one item before escaping with your life. What item of food do you grab?

If the world would end and i could only grab one item of food for me to live, i would grab a big symphony chocolate bar. The yummy taste of the chocolate melting in my mouth would make me calm. Well at least a bit calmer when the worl's ending!
And if it were to be a king sized candy bar it would take a long time to eat it, which i would save because i only have that one thing to eat.

Imagine that you have a superpower. The Power of Persuasion. You can convince anyone of anything. How would you use that power? What would you try to get, do, change? Would you use it for good? Or evil? Describe what the Power of Persuasion is.

If i had the power of persuasion, i would probably persuade my parents on letting me drive at my age so i can do whatever. How i would do it? Well i would talk to persuade them, my choice of words would do the trick. I woulndnt say my persuasion is bad, but its not the best i guess because im using it to get what i want. The power of persuasion can be powerful in many ways. people can use it as a good thing or bad.

Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn’t want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?

One time me and my best friend were going to sneak out and go to a party. i didnt want to tell anyone cuz if i did i would be screwed. So we snuck out and i forgot to bring my phone and my mom read all my texts about that night, and how me and my friend planned it. My mims behavior was way upset and i was in huge trouble, so thats prettty much the last time ill sneak out.

Describe your best or worst Halloween costume ever. Use lots of details and explain why it was so awesome or lame.

Well i have had many costumes and the one that i thaught was the coolest costume was a Beauty and the Beast coustume. I was in kindergarten this time and my dress was long and flowing, it came with a crown, high heeled shoes and the best of all, a glowing wand. i was voted best coustume in my class.

My worst coustume would have been about three years ago and i was an emo person and i think i scared almost every one i talked to. I was way embarrased, because i had nothing else to be. But let me tell you, its the last time ill be an emo.

It seems like reading Edgar Allan Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? Share your memories of you or teachers reading the works of Edgar Allan Poe.If you have not read Poe or don't remember, describe to me what you expect from a classic horror writer? What kinds of stories do you think we'll be reading? Have you ever read scary stories?

Yes i have read many different scary stories. I've read R.L Stine books and he writes horror stories. The poe book i have read from Edgar Allen was "The Raven" its kind of different, i read it in sixth grade and we had to go over a lot of it. It's cool how he writes and how he puts in poems. I think, since its getting close to holloween, we will be reading scary stories, ones that he's written.
